Event Description:
As Canton's community chorus, University Chorus brings together the vocal talents of students, faculty and staff, and community members. This semester finds them following up on the success of last spring's concert entitled “Peace and Love – Songs of the 60's” with a program celebrating the music of Simon and Garfunkel. They'll be joined once again by Barb Heller, the host of NCPR's “String Fever”, lending her stylish voice and guitar picking to many of the S&G great hits. Selections from all 5 of their albums – Wednesday Morning, 3AM\; Sounds of Silence\; Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme\; Bookends\; and Bridge Over Troubled Waters –will be featured, including The Sound of Silence, I Am a Rock, Homeward Bound, Scarborough Fair/Canticle, The 59th Street Bridge Song, At the Zoo, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, The Boxer, Cecilia and more.
