Job Description

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK 40 hours per week; flexible to the needs of the program. May require early morning, evening, and some weekend hours. Any remote work will be determined if necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS - Associates Degree in Human Services, Office Technologies, or related field with 1-3 years administrative experience preferred; or High School Diploma with 3-5 years administrative experience. Must possess proficient organizational and computer skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred. Experience working in the field of disabilities and regulatory agencies preferred.


WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.


SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE - To ensure staff are adhering to policies, procedures, and quality standards to better serve the people we support. To provide assistance to the Quality Services and Staff development departments.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


  1. Responsible for administrative duties/clerical supports as assigned.
  2. Human Rights/Oversight Committees duties:
  1. Attends the committee meetings to accurately report on the minutes.
  2. Maintains a file system and tracking logs for the Agencys Oversight Committees.
  3. Establishes a schedule of oversight committee meetings (Virtual or in person) and provides notification of meetings to committee members and presenters.
  4. Prepares and distributes copies via email of committee minutes to presenters and Program Directors.
  1. Assist the Staff Development Educators as indicated to cover O & T/Orientation and other special trainings.
  2. Work with the Staff Development Educators to provide training and support in the functions of this department to meet the needs of the agency.
  3. Obtain and maintain any current certifications as an instructor such as CPR/First Aid, SCIP-R, etc.
  4. Perform or ensure that a daily safety inspection of your site(s) is conducted to minimize and address any possible safety hazards, and to ensure all equipment is being utilized safely and properly.
  5. Participate in other agency committees as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


TRAVEL - Be willing to travel to and attend training sessions offered by OPWDD, or other pertinent organizations.


WORK ENVIRONMENT - This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; lift; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Work may require lifting, pushing, or pulling in excess of 30 pounds.
