POTSDAM - For small business owners, a business card is often the first experience a customer has with their brand… and having a great business card can help leave a better first impression.

Catherine LaPointe Vollmer of Lionheart Graphics will be teaching a “Design Your Own Business Card” workshop Friday September 6 at 3 pm at Anchorspace Potsdam. The workshop is also streamed live online, meaning anyone can attend no matter their geographic location.

“Catherine is going to show us the principles of design and use software we all have on our computers to design a nice business card, which I know I could certainly use.” says Nicole Ouellette, Community Manager of Anchorspace Potsdam. “I was psyched someone of her talent was willing to give this workshop!”

"I think it's especially important for a small business to present themselves professionally from the start.” says Vollmer. “You can take that momentum and use it to fuel the growth of your business!"

Workshop attendees can take their newly created file to any commercial printer or print their business cards on their home computers after the workshop.

Those interested in the workshop can sign up online at anchorspace.com/programs. The room can hold 12 people and their computers so pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Workshop is free for Anchorspace members and costs $25/person for the general public.

All workshops are recorded and available online for attendees to rewatch after the fact.

Catherine LaPointe Vollmer is a graphic designer and owner of design firm Lionheart Graphics. You can learn more about her work at http://www.lionheart-graphics.com.
